Estimator - Construction Projects

Our client, a third-generation family business specializing in general construction, is growing and is looking for a Construction Estimator to complete its team. Reporting to management, you will be responsible for project estimation, managing tenders, and tracking bids, while ensuring the quality and profitability of projects.

Tasks:

• Read and analyze plans and specifications to prepare cost and material estimates.

• Analyze projects and estimate the time, costs, and materials needed for each.

• Set up tenders and perform analysis of received bids.

• Prepare and write bids in collaboration with management.

• Contribute to the management and monitoring of ongoing projects.

• Ensure compliance with project budgets and deadlines.

• Work closely with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain and compare prices.

• Participate in site visits if necessary.

• Any other related task aimed at the success of the projects.

Requirements:

• 3 to 5 years of experience in estimating or managing residential, multiplex, and commercial construction projects in Quebec.

• Mastery of Microsoft Office suite; knowledge of project management software (Procore, a great asset).

• Mastery of construction materials and equipment.

• Good understanding of construction processes and plan reading.

• Excellent command of French, both spoken and written.

• Ability to work in the office and make trips to construction sites when necessary.

• Valid Class 5 driver's license.

• DEC or BAC in estimation, civil engineering, or in a related field (asset).

Salary: $75,000 to $100,000 annually, negotiable based on experience.

Schedule: Daytime, 40 hours per week.
